Using Tall Cabinet Options in a Small Bathroom

By admin | August 16, 2010

It is probably true to say that the average bathroom needs only limited storage space. This is because only bathroom essentials need to be kept there, and it is not a general dumping ground as some other rooms can become in an untidy home. It is only if you want to store your bath towels and robes inside the bathroom that it might be necessary to get more substantial storage capacity installed.

Even so there is one method to pack as much storage space as possible and that is to use the tall cabinet concept as a key part of your bathroom storage design. Your bathroom floor space may be very restricted, but often the wall space and air space is not used effectively.

For these obvious reasons tall cabinet storage is commonly used in bathrooms, especially smaller bathrooms. The bathroom linen cabinet is often a tall affair or might even be called a linen tower. However the tall cabinet idea need not be just for towels; it can be used for storing anything you want to keep in the bathroom for convenience such as cleaning equipment and liquids.

What type of tall cabinets are there for the bathroom? A real space saver in a tall over toilet cabinet, which is perhaps why they are sometimes called over toilet space savers. These cabinets are usually with wooden doors, or sometimes glass, while the legs that stand astride the toilet can be metal or wood. You can also get tall cabinets for elsewhere in the bathroom, either free standing or wall mounted; again because of the need for doors they are mostly made of wood.
