The Pros and Cons of the Side Sleeper Pro
By admin | January 23, 2012
The Sidesleeper Pro pillow brings a new option to the table for those who sleep on their sides. Some Side Sleeper Pro reviews say that this pillow has helped them to minimize their snoring, eliminate their tossing and turning during the night and made it possible for them to wake up without having aches and pains.
However, this pillow can take some getting used to. When you first try the Side Sleeper Pro, you may find that it feels uncomfortable. Sleeping on your side tends to cause you to sleep with your spine out of alignment, and if you are used to this position it can feel strange to sleep in the position that the pillow forces you to sleep in. Once you get used to the new position, however, you may find that it actually gives you a much better night’s sleep.
The Sidesleeper Pro pillow is curved with the front side slightly shorter than the backside. The longer back of the pillow helps to support your back and keep you from rolling into a position that would put your back out of alignment. There is also a hole for your ear built into the pillow, which helps you keep your head in the right position as well as keeping your ear from getting sore or overheated. However, some people who are short find that the ear hole isn’t positioned properly for them.
The main drawback to the Side Sleeper Pro seems to be that if you turn over during the night you will also have to turn the pillow over to allow you to put your ear in the ear hole and keep the short side of the pillow in front. Women with particularly large chests may find the short side to still be slightly too long to be comfortable.
The Side Sleeper Pro is made with a relatively dense foam, so it can feel hard to people who are used to really soft pillows. However, if the pillow was very soft it wouldn’t offer much support to help keep your head, shoulders, neck and back in alignment so it would not fulfill its purpose. This doesn’t mean that the pillow will not be comfortable for you once you get used to it.
